"two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference"

Howdy! I am Samia Tasnim.

I am a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at the Department of Health Promotion and Community Health Sciences in the School of Public Health, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. I work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Community Health Development (CCHD). I also work as an independent researcher with Dr. Md. Mahbub Hossain focusing on Mental and Digital Health. My primary research interests align with the study of Chronic and Infectious Diseases, and find interventions to prevent and hence reduce the morbidities and mortalities caused by them. Please visit my Google Scholar and Researchgate for more details of my research.

I graduated from the same school and department with a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Summer 2020. Previously, I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Shahabuddin Medical College, a medical wing of University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in May 2016. I served as a Medical Officer at Uposhom Health Point and an Internee Doctor at Shahabuddin Medical College. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Initiative for Non-Communicable Diseases (INCD), Health System and Population Studies Division (HSPSD) of International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).
